We Have a Cat TH62 Telescopic loader . I think the brakes must be worn as the peddle goes down quiet a way and the brakes make a load noise . First the obvious question - did you check your oil levels?
Unfortunately I couldn't figure out exactly which numbers in your picture are the model/series number. I have experience with some ZF and Dana telehandler axles though. To answer how much work is involved trace the brake lines - they will either go into the axle either just outside of the differential or out to the wheel ends. 字串2
Wheel ends (outboard brakes) - Not too bad. Usually you only have to remove the wheel and the planetary gear set. Replace the discs, seperator plates, and seals. Be sure to use the recommended oil - if you don't you might get squealing or worse have to replace all the dics again!
Just outside of the differtial (inboard brakes) - Technically about the same difficulty as outboard but more involved. You have to remove the wheel, disconnect the steering linkage, unbolt the axle housing from the differential housing, replace parts and reassemble.
The benefit of inboard brakes is that they:
1) allow more freedom in the design of the wheel end which generally results in a tighter turning axle.
2) you no longer have high pressure fluid going through a king-pin joint (which can leak, especially if a cheap service brake set-up is used that doesn't limit maximum pressure)
3) the axle shaft turns 3 or 4 times faster than the wheel end, meaning you don't need as much braking force from the discs and get away with a smaller package.
